As VERDESEC continued to grow its presence in the cybersecurity community, we were proud to take part in an International Hackathon as one of the event sponsors. Although our role in this event was on the sponsorship side, it was still a meaningful opportunity for us to support student innovation and cross-university collaboration.
The Hackathon brought together students from universities in Malaysia and Singapore for an intensive 48-hour challenge, creating a fast-paced environment where participants could turn ideas into working solutions within a limited time. Events like this highlight not only technical ability, but also creativity, teamwork, and the ability to build under pressure.

As a sponsor, VERDESEC was glad to contribute to an initiative that encouraged practical learning and innovation among students. While not every contribution happens through training sessions or competitions that we organize ourselves, supporting programs like this is also part of how we help strengthen the community. We believe that giving students more opportunities to build, experiment, and connect with peers is an important step in developing future talent.

Being involved in this Hackathon reflects VERDESEC’s broader commitment to supporting student-driven tech and cybersecurity initiatives. Whether through direct knowledge sharing, hands-on events, or sponsorship of community activities, we remain committed to helping create more opportunities for students to grow and challenge themselves.
